Politics gets dirty─and very funny─in this irreverent satire about a seasoned congressman (Will Ferrell) whose notorious election season gaffe inspires two powerful businessmen to bankroll an out-of-nowhere everyman (Zach Galifianakis) as his opponent. As both candidates embrace wildly negative rhetoric and increasingly vicious tactics, the contest becomes a total (and highly recognizable) farce.
